LAUREN SINGER'S  ECO BEAUTY ROUTINE
Young woman living in New York tries to live as eco-friendly as she can. This is her video on a zero waste eco beauty routine. Very inspring!
Picture
JAPANESE ECO TOWN
This town in Japan (where else?) tries to produce as little trash as possible and recycle everything they can. Of course, it would be more brilliant if all manufacturers of products embraced a cradle-to-cradle approach, but until they do, this is very helpful!
Picture
TRASH IS FOR TOSSERS
Lauren Singer explains how she managed to collect just one mason jar of trash (non recycleable) in one year. Might be a bit extreme for most of us, but her philosophy and advice are very inspiring!

JENNY MUSTARD
She has three great video's on minimalism, all very stylischly and professionally made. She has a relaxed and cute voice and is very easy to listen to. In her video's she explaines how to stop shopping, how to get rid of excess and why she chose for a minimalist lifestyle.

FORKS OVER KNIVES
A documentary about meat and dairy and their effects on your health. It's a documentary I watch from time to time to get re-inspired to chose for a healthy, vegetable based lifestyle. You can watch the full documentary on Netflix. The link shows the trailer.

RACHEL AUST
Rachel Aust also has a channel with a collection of minimalist video's. It's interesting to me that these women are all so well put together. A nice channel to watch to get inspired, and both her and Jenny prove that minimalism doesn't necessarily change you in a second-hand-hippie.

FED UP
This documentary discusses the hidden sugar in the Western diet and the obesity epedemic that follows. It's an interesting video to inform you of the true contents of convenient foods and the real origins of obesity followed by the consumption of "fake" foods and calories.

LIVING ONE ONE DOLLAR A DAY
A couple economy grad students want to experience for them self how it would be to live of one dollar a day. Studying poorer countries, they realised that they could only provide a real solution if they would experience circumstances themself. It brings them interesting insights. Watchable on Netflix.

TRUE COST
This documentary shows where your clothing really comes from. It's depressing in many ways, but honest, and it also shows promise: entrepreneurs and fashion designers striving for change. Its a must-see for all of us who enjoy "cheap" fashion nowadays to be a little bit more considerate in our choices.

NO IMPACT MAN
A couple with a little girl try their hand at making no impact on the environment for a year.. in New York. Very inspiring. His wife, for example, gives up a lot of processed foods and turns around the type II diabetes she was falling victim to.

Picture
STATUS ANXIETY
Alain de Botton discusses where our anxieties these days come from. Why are we so stressed while we seem to have it all? Status Anxiety is a documentary that everyone should watch once in their lifetime, in my honest opinion.

WE THE TINY HOUSE PEOPLE
The first big Tiny House documentary by Kirsten Dirksen, an independent film maker. She visits a myriad of different tiny houses and their inhabitants. They all have their own reasons for living small.
Picture
RELIGION FOR ATHEISTS
Inspiring talk by Alain the Botton on the value of religions and what we can learn from religions. This is a wonderful, energetic talk, that will definitely make you ponder his words and reevaluate the religions of old.
Picture
THOREAUVIAN LIVING
A short, but to me, very inspiring tiny house documentary about a couple who live in a very cute little house in the forest, that looks like a modern version of Little House on the Prairie. One of my favorites.
Picture
BAD HABITS & MASSIVE RESULTS
Leo Babauta from ZenHabits explains how he turned his life and his unfruitful habits around. He really made enormous changes in his life, with big results in just one year. He is married and has 6 kids, so if he can do it.. I guess we can ;)

A PERSONAL MINIMALIST JOURNEY
This young girl made a videolog about her experiences with living a minimalist life. She's so open and honest about her feelings and experiences, which made it a very inspiring video to me. Be sure also to watch the first part of her journey here.
Picture
UNUSUAL CHOICES
A short film about Ani Chudrun, and her journey from being a Top Gear presenter to becoming a Tibetan Buddhist nun. She seemed to have it all, but still found no happiness in her career and - outwardly - successful life.
Picture
IF THAT'S NOT A DELUSION, WHAT IS?
Ani Tenzin Palmo is one of the most extraordinary female Buddhist monks I've encountered so far. She's extremely wise, and drives her points home with force, but also with a lot of humor. This short video of her struck me by her profoundness.

HOW TO BECOME A MINIMALIST
Managing her own business for a more rewarding life, Happy Black Woman, Rosetta explains her reasons for living with less. It allows her to travel, to meet more people, and to have less worries. I really liked this video, although it's too bad that parts of it are a little scrambled for whatever reason.

KEVIN MCCLOUDS MANMADE HOME
I am a huge fan of Kevin McCloud's Grand Designs, always a huge inspiration to me. In this special, Kevin builds his own abode in the forest, completely from re-purposed materials. I haven't found the first episode online, if you do, let me know, but here the second episode can be viewed.

LISTENING TO SHAME
Brene Brown is such a courageous, brilliant woman, she makes me smile every time. This is her second TED talk about vulnerability and shame, and it's quite awesome. Good to watch on a sad day, and especially before doing something very scary.
